For many of the missionaries we support, security issues restrict them from giving too much information. Despite that, we want you to hear from them as they serve in areas where few people follow Christ. We are so thankful for the work they are doing around the world. Read below to hear about one of our missionaries serving in North Africa.
I work in the Muslim world (North Africa). We build relationships in order to tell the message of Jesus. I am learning Arabic and am the owner and operator of a fitness center in North Africa. I provide jobsContinue Reading
globalX believes that developing successful trip leaders and identifying exceptional partners are crucial to accomplishing our mission, since these two things affect the trips that we send out. Today we would love for you to join us in praying for these two things.
We know it is only May, but we are already starting to seek out leaders for our 2014 trips. Please pray that great leaders will surface and that any barriers or obstacles to them leading will disappear. Pray also that God will prepare their hearts to lead, even by putting it on their minds before we haveContinue Reading
Happy Monday! Today we want to pray specifically for one of our global partners – La Casa de mi Padre. Thanks for joining us in praying for them in the following ways:
1. Pray for the government of El Salvador to give permission for La Casa to break ground on the new homes for children and their house parents on their property, La Finca. The process is long and they are praying that this administrative process will be completed soon to better serve at-risk children.
2. The founder and director of La Casa, Gary Powell, and his wife Sharon willContinue Reading

This year Carolyn Norton and I led a globalX team of eight college students from Georgia Tech and Georgia State heading to Sevilla, Spain.
While there, our team partnered with Parque Este, a local church in Sevilla. Like North Point, Parque Este shares the same vision of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. If you were to guess that the predominant religion of Spain is Catholicism, you would be exactly right. In fact, Spain is over 96 percent Catholic and less than one percent Protestant Christian. People in Spain are extremely religious, holding onContinue Reading
Today we are so pleased to have a guest post from the founder of Life in Abundance, one of our global partners. We met Florence Muindi over a year ago, and her heart and passion for the communities she serves is so apparent in her actions and words. We are so excited to be partnering with this exceptional organization, and hope you enjoy reading about the impact and influence they are having in one of the many countries they work in.
Nearly 15 years ago, Life In Abundance International (LIA) began transformational development work in Ethiopia, where my husband,Continue Reading
We wanted to take a day to pray for you, since we are so appreciative of you joining us in praying for our trips and the people we serve around the world.
Andy Stanley is currently taking us through a series named, “Follow.” In week four of the series, he talked about what we should wear as followers of Jesus. In Colossians 3 we find the answer:
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of youContinue Reading
Today’s prayer topic is inspired by my youngest daughter’s current 24-hour bug. As I sat and snuggled with her early this morning, I thought about how sickness can truly leave a person down for the count. As our trip participants prepare to leave, including six teams in the month of May alone, we would love for you to join us in praying for their health. Pray that God will give them abounding energy and strength not only as they prepare and plan, but as they travel and serve (enough strength that leaves them jumping for joy like ourContinue Reading
For Spring Break this year our team of 13 headed to San Salvador, El Salvador and La Casa de mi Padre for what turned out to be a journey we will never forget. Our adventure began at our first team meeting, which honestly was uncomfortable, with no shortage of name tags or icebreakers. It continued during our team retreat where we learned a little more about each other and began to trust one other. Finally, the adventure flourished as lifelong friendships developed during our week together in El Salvador. It was clear that God knew what he was doing when he formedContinue Reading
Today we want to pause from praying for what globalX is doing around the world to pray together for the families of those who died in the Boston Marathon explosions, plus the injured parties and their families as well, even as they are currently being treated in Boston area hospitals. Pray that they will find peace and comfort in the midst of their losses.
This event has found its way close to our staff today, as we were following the progress of one of our teammates’ daughters who was running the race while his wife and other family members wereContinue Reading
Thanks for praying with us today. This week our minds and hearts are focused on those we serve around the world—families and children at risk.
Colossians 1:16-17 says, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
The truth in this verse is that God created all things; as such, we should view all things and all people as his creations. Although weContinue Reading
