North Africa Experience
Dates: Oct 14, 2010–Oct 23, 2010
Cost: $3,000
Application Deadline: May 22, 2010
Trip Summary:
The trip will be in an area of North Africa that is predominantly Arab and Muslim. You will spend several nights in the home of a Muslim family, see different sites, and live as they live. The name of the country will remain confidential until after your first meeting. It is an amazing trip to learn who Muslims are and what they believe. You may even be surprised to know that the people of this country are kind and would consider you an honored guest. The purpose of this trip is for us to learn how to find common ground with Muslims and to develop a heart for this group of unreached people. Our hope is that you will begin to use this experience here in the Atlanta area to begin developing relationships with people of the Islamic faith.
Qualifications:
We are looking for 10 to 12 people who have an interest in the beliefs of Muslims and want to make a difference in their communities in a relational way after returning from this trip. The trip is physically challenging in that there is a lot of traveling, extreme temperatures, limited bathing opportunities, and some hiking.
