Trip Summary:
God is moving in exciting ways in East Asia as thousands are coming to Christ. One of the ways is through businesses that are owned by Christians and are having a transformational impact on the community. We are partnering with two such businesses that give back to their communities through their support of orphanages.
Team members on this trip will be working with disabled children in two of these orphanages. They will entertain the kids, play games with them, or simply spend time with them and hold them, all in order to show them a love and acceptance that they deeply crave. Translators will be with our team as these children only speak their local language. The children are all disabled and many of them have been abandoned by their families. The orphanage is trying to get them to a point where loving families can adopt them.
Qualifications:
The team will consist of 8 flexible people who love to serve and have experience working with disabled children.
Specific skills needed are occupational therapy, physical therapy, and special education.
