Trip Summary:
This team’s primary purpose will be to connect with, pray for, and encourage the people of Southpoint Church in Cape Town. Southpoint is a growing church that is committed to creating an irresistible and relevant church that unchurched people love to attend. Accomplishing this important task is not the easiest thing in a culture that is inundated with an old style of church and where unchurched people are skeptical of anything to do with church. Our team will spend time serving the church attendees in practical ways, participating in group activities, praying for them, and providing them with one-on-one encouragement. We will also spend time with the leadership team and volunteer teams of the various ministries, getting to know their needs in order to encourage, support and pray for them.
Qualifications:
This is a great trip for people who enjoy getting to know new people, connecting with them beyond a surface level, and encouraging them. If you like participating in deep conversations, hearing about others' needs, serving people, and praying for others, then this may be the trip for you.
