Corporate Prayer Monday: May 13
Happy Monday! Today we want to pray specifically for one of our global partners – La Casa de mi Padre. Thanks for joining us in praying for them in the following ways:
1. Pray for the government of El Salvador to give permission for La Casa to break ground on the new homes for children and their house parents on their property, La Finca. The process is long and they are praying that this administrative process will be completed soon to better serve at-risk children.
2. The founder and director of La Casa, Gary Powell, and his wife Sharon will

We wanted to take a day to pray for you, since we are so appreciative of you joining us in praying for our trips and the people we serve around the world.
Andy Stanley is currently taking us through a series named, “Follow.” In week four of the series, he talked about what we should wear as followers of Jesus. In Colossians 3 we find the answer:
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you

Happy Monday!
Today’s prayer topic is inspired by my youngest daughter’s current 24-hour bug. As I sat and snuggled with her early this morning, I thought about how sickness can truly leave a person down for the count. As our trip participants prepare to leave, including six teams in the month of May alone, we would love for you to join us in praying for their health. Pray that God will give them abounding energy and strength not only as they prepare and plan, but as they travel and serve (enough strength that leaves them jumping for joy like our

Today we want to pause from praying for what globalX is doing around the world to pray together for the families of those who died in the Boston Marathon explosions, plus the injured parties and their families as well, even as they are currently being treated in Boston area hospitals. Pray that they will find peace and comfort in the midst of their losses.
This event has found its way close to our staff today, as we were following the progress of one of our teammates’ daughters who was running the race while his wife and other family members were

Thanks for praying with us today. This week our minds and hearts are focused on those we serve around the world—families and children at risk.
Colossians 1:16-17 says, “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
The truth in this verse is that God created all things; as such, we should view all things and all people as his creations. Although we

Thanks for joining us in prayer this week. Throughout 2013 globalX will send 70 trips to almost 20 destinations around the world. Today we want to thank God for filling these teams, and for knitting together the people that he wanted to participate on each of these teams. We are so thankful for his provision, especially as we prepare to send our summer trips, leaving in May, June, and July. When we decide what trips we will send each year, we pray that the right people will be placed on these teams, and that life change will occur for them

Despite the cold and rainy weather we have experienced in the last week here in Atlanta, spring is officially here. And what better to mark the beginning of spring than Easter itself, coming up this Sunday, March 31!
Today’s corporate prayer time will focus on Easter, and to get us started, here is a great written reminder of what Easter is all about from Florence Muindi, the founder of Life in Abundance, one of our global partners.
As we focus on Easter in our prayer today, let’s take a cue from Florence and pray that as Christians we will:

The Truth of Saint Patrick
Yesterday millions of people joined together celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. March 17 has come to be known as the green holiday commemorating Saint Patrick, but how many really know the origins of this man, and was he really a Guinness-drinking, shamrock-wearing kind of guy?
Well, without bursting any bubbles, no. The real St. Patrick wasn’t even Irish. He was born an aristocrat in Britain around A.D. 390. Although his family considered themselves Christians, Patrick had no interest in Christianity, but all that changed when he was kidnapped as a teenager and became a slave in

Can you believe it is March 4 already? Can you believe it is 2013? Time seems to be flying by, and with the passage of time we are one step closer to sending our first group of trips.
Today we are going to focus our prayer on this first group of trips leaving in March. These three trips are special because they are filled with a lot of first time trip participants, so we want to pray for them and the experiences they are about to have.
Please join us in praying for our two spring break college teams heading

globalX and The 410 Bridge partner in three countries around the world—Kenya, Haiti and starting this year, Uganda. In Kenya, globalX partners in the Ngaamba cluster of communities where there are seven primary schools.
The 410 Bridge’s model of community-initiated holistic development means that all areas of need are addressed. Education is just one of those areas of need, but it’s the “backbone of development.” Without a strong educational system, development (that which people do for themselves) is much more difficult. Over the past few years, quality improvement programs have been launched in the seven primary schools in Ngaamba.
